Only a week into 2013, and the new year in Miami is already off to a bright start. The Miami Herald expects cranes to begin popping up along the skyline in the first and second quarter as construction of new condos gets underway. It is anticipated that the construction sector, after posting 62 consecutive months of job losses in Miami-Dade, will begin adding jobs in 2013.
Our city’s resilience and ability to rebound from difficult times is truly remarkable. This was the theme of our holiday card this past Christmas, as we took a moment to reflect on Miami’s history and celebrate its growth. If you haven’t yet seen the card, please click here for our depiction of transportation hubs, sports stadiums, hotels and commerce as they evolve from black and white into today’s thriving, modern, full-color New Miami.
Best wishes to all our readers for a 2013 filled with possibilities!
