Margaret Nee, 2013 CREW-Miami President and Vice President of Development at Pointe Group Advisors, was recently featured in GlobeSt.com’s “Women in CRE Wednesdays” Q&A series. As a past president of CREW-Miami and Co-Chair of the 2014 CREW Network National Convention, I was pleased to read about Margaret’s goals for CREW-Miami this year, the 2014 National Convention in Miami, and her thoughts on the state of the commercial real estate market.
Margaret notes that:
“After a challenging few years for Miami’s residential and commercial markets, we have seen stabilization in sectors such as hospitality, industrial, retail and multifamily.”
She sees 2013 as a promising year for the commercial real estate industry in South Florida. With projects such as Dacra’s renovation of the Design District and Swire’s Brickell CitiCentre underway, Margaret sees 2013 as “the year to take a risk and re-position the focus on growing your business.”
With CREW-Miami membership and fundraising at an all-time high, this year’s theme is to empower members to “Drive the Deal” by seizing the new opportunities that the stabilizing real estate market is creating and position businesses for further growth. Over 1,000 members are expected to attend next year’s National Convention in Miami – a fantastic networking opportunity but also an opportunity for the real estate community across the U.S. to experience first-hand the uptick in Miami’s real estate market.
